Sponsor an ASIST Course

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

Sponsoring an ASIST course in your local area is easy to do but you do need to be able to supply an appropriate training environment and ensure that the rooms can be laid out in the correct layout.

It is helpful if the venue can provide the equipment that trainers need but if not we can supply our own OHP, Data Projector, Screens etc.

It is most important that the training facilities are confidential and create the right environment for participants to explore sensitive issues around suicide.

We can send you an organisers pack which tells you all you need to know and provides all the room layouts in clear diagrams.

You will also need to provide a person on site for the whole two days who is not participating who will deal with all the housekeeping, refreshments etc, so that the trainers can concentrate on delivering the training. This person should also be available to be with anyone who becomes upset and needs to take time out.
